• Add a configurable delay before switching priority group in case the paths recovery quickly

• Dynamic load balancing

• Change SCSI layer to return categorised error information to improve decisions about which path(s) to stop using

• Speed up path testing by inserting test I/O at the front of the queue

• Detect device reconfiguration (c.f. removable media)

• Support SCSI reservations

• Support other devices, such as IBM FASTT
