This is my graduation project, it was
done at
Multimedia Resources Systems
(MRS), a Tunisian company specialising in Web content development and
CD ROM design. The aim of this project was to investigate the case of
Arabic script support in Internet applications, mainly the WWW. Another
objective of the company was the development of a search engine for
Arabic web sites that serves Arabic web pages. The work was supervised
by Dr. Mohamed Said Ouerghi from ENSI (who was of great help) and Moez
Souabni from MRS.
The best thing you can get out of this work is an idea about writing
Netscape Plug-ins, besides it might give a good insight into MIME and
text encoding principles. You can download the report in
compressed PostScript or
PDF format, I have
only a French copy. If you need any details about the document, just
drop me a mail! The source code for the plug-in (
np-hannibal_viewer_src-1.0b.tar.gz)
is also available for download. Well, it's an unusable heap of code but
it gives some clues on Netscape plug-ins.
The presentation slides are available in English as
compressed PostScript or
PDF and in French as
compressed PostScript and
PDF.
