The solution (5) - Names

• We are still having to use the dm-2 style of names for now.

• We would like the option of using meaningful names directly in /dev. But there are some pre-requisites:

• • The in-kernel length limit would need to be dropped.
  • We'd have to handle renames better.
  • We'd need to create character mappings to deal with udev's limited permitted character set.
