Tagging

• LVM2 supports two sorts of tags.

• Tags can be attached to objects such as PVs, VGs, LVs and segments.

• Tags can be attached to hosts, for example in a cluster configuration.

• Tags are strings using [A-Za-z0-9_+.-] of up to 128 characters and they cannot start with a hyphen. On the command line they are normally prefixed by @.

• LVM1 objects cannot be tagged as the metadata does not support it.
