Reporting – pvs, lvs, vgs

• Share the same code base and produce one line of output per object: PV, VG, LV, LV segment or PV segment.

• You can select which fields to display. It's OK to mix VG, PV and PV segment fields or alternatively VG, LV and LV segment fields.

• LV segment fields include seg_start, seg_size and devices.

• e.g. lvs -o +devices shows you where the LVs have been allocated

• The plus sign means to append the fields to the ones output

• Use lvs -a to also see LVs used by LVM2 internally

• Use pvs -a to also see non-PV devices detected by LVM2

• PV segment fields are pvseg_start, pvseg_size
