LVM2 Tool Enhancements (2)

• All message output passes through a logging module with independent choices of logging levels for:

  • Standard output/error
  • Syslog
  • Log file
  • External log function

• Enhanced configurability including

  • Filters to select which devices to scan (e.g. not /dev/cdrom)
  • How long to retain archives of old metadata

• Customisable report output (like ps)
