clvmd

• clvmd is responsible for

• • Processing incoming lock requests from lvm2 processes;
  • Obtaining locks from the DLM and holding them as required;
  • Communicating with the clvmd processes on other nodes;
  • Instructing LVM2 locally to make Logical Volumes available for use on each machine.

• If clvmd is killed and then restarted, it reacquires Concurrent Read locks for any Logical Volumes that are in use on that node.
