Please set me straight on this. #From my own experience, you can stabilize the lighter bullets in a faster (1 in 9) barrel but you cannot stabilize the heavier bullets in a slower barrel (1 in 12 or 1 in 14). I have shot 42 grain bullets through a 1 in 9 barrel with no problem. If you are never going to shoot anything heavier than 55 grains, then 1 in 12 is fine. If you are, then get a 1 in 9. This should be good up to about 69 grain bullets. Anything greater, (e.g., 72 to 80 grain match bullets by Sierra and Berger) require 1 in 7, but this is usually reserved for 600 yard service rifle competitions. yale ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Learn about rec.guns at http://doubletap.cs.umd.edu/rec.guns Rec.guns readers and MPFO team up with two-rifle raffle for the cause.
